An intriguing scene in which two men, one carrying a club and the other a spear, speak to two significantly smaller women or boys wearing some kind of tiara. The cathedral guide says only, "These medallions are very difficult to understand." One suggestion made by scholars is that it depicts Genesis 6:4: "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown" (KJV). Detail of the Noah Window, located at the west end of the north aisle. Like most of the windows in Chartres Cathedral, it dates from the early 13th century.
