Chartres Stained Glass #4:
St. John Window
Located at the west end of the south nave aisle, the St. John Window illustrates the legends of St. John the Evangelist, a.k.a. St. John the Divine. All of the stories can be found in the Golden Legend, which was written down by Jacobus de Voragine about the same time the window was made, in the early 13th century.
